| Online Store in Trivandrum - Kada.in |
Before I forget this concept or idea, let me pen it down here. So, here's the story.
I'm a big fan of Kada.in. We're purchased goods from this store couple of times. Most times, we have ordered stuff from Bangalore, and it was delivered in the right time.
Apart from buying stuff for my mom, we bought stuff for a lady in our family who is going hard times. Due to her choices, she is down in her wit's end, and with lot of debts. At first we thought we could help her by giving cash, but later we found that all the money we give goes to naught. So, we decided to buy her month's provision through Kada.in. We order basic food stuffs so that she and her child doesn't have to go hunting for food.
And, with this, I hit this concept...
What if Kada.in or any online store have an option to deliver food for people who are really finding it difficult to buy a day's food. First, they should create a new tab ( menu) which says, giving forward or any word which makes it sound good.
They should list out the people in different localities who are in need of food. For instance, they can start by listing families which has lost their bread earning member in an accident or due to illness. And, when they list out the name, family and address, they should put a short story of their life, and how they can benefit from such donations.
Just imagine a NRI from Trivandrum, who buys groceries for her family decides to part with few rupees to buy some items for the needy. With the click of the button, the person can feed a family for a month or so.
Will such a concept work?
Will the company execute it with integrity?
How can the company show the proof of delivery?
Will the recipient know the whereabouts of the donor? Or can it be made anonymous?
Who will ensure that the groceries reach the right person?
Well, if it works it can bring smile and tears of many hapless people in Trivandrum or for that matter in any part of the world. For a company like Kada.in or bigbasket.com, it's a way of showing that they care for the people.
Will it work. I'm glad I shared it before I forgot this concept. If it sounds good, then share your thoughts in the comments box.
